Olga Peretyatko, uno dei soprani più richiesti al mondo, ha debuttato nel mondo dell’opera internazionale dopo aver vinto il prestigioso Concorso Operalia di Plácido Domingo e da allora è ospite nei più importanti teatri d’opera e sale da concerto del mondo. In Asia canta alla Forbidden Concert Hall di Pechino e al Guangdong Xinghai, oltre a cantare i Carmina Burana di Carl Orff con l’orchestra NHK Symphony a Tokyo, con la direzione di Paavo Järvi. In Cina interpreta anche la sua acclamata Leila nella produzione di Wim Wender di Les Pecheurs des Perles al China National Center for Performing Arts. Olga Peretyatko, one of the world’s most sought-after sopranos, made her international break-through after winning Plácido Domingo’s prestigious Operalia Competition. Since then, she has been a regular guest at the world’s most important opera houses and concert halls.

In the 2023/24 season, Olga Peretyatko makes her role debut as Norma at the Staatsoper Hamburg. She also reprises one of her signature roles, Fiorilla in Rossini’s Il turco in Italia at the Opernhaus Zürich and returns to the Staatsoper Berlin to sing Elettra in Mozart's Idomeneo and Leila in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles. In Italy, she sings Magda de Civry in a new production of La rondine at the Teatro Regio Torino and Donna Anna in a new production of Don Giovanni at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. On the concert stage, Olga Peretyatko debuts the role of Leonora in a concert performance of Verdi’s Il trovatore at the Musikfest Bremen.

She can also be seen performing Rachmaninoff’s “The Bells” together with the Orchestre de Paris at the Grande salle Pierre Boulez in Paris and presenting a program called “Mozart and Salieri” with the Danish Chamber Orchestra under Ádám Fischer at the Mozart Week in Salzburg. Additionally, the soprano gives several recitals around the world such as a recital with the tenor Marius Vlad Budoiu at the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest and a recital at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, where – joined by the pianist Semjon Skigin - she presents works by Clara Schumann and Pauline Viardot.

In the previous season, Olga Peretyatko made her role debut as Elettra in Mozart's opera Idomeneo and later performed as Liu in Puccini's Turandot, both at the Staatsoper Berlin. She debuted the role of Marquerite in Gounod's Faust at the Staatsoper Hamburg and sang Anna Bolena at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. At the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, she sang the title role in a new production of Adelaide di Borgogna. On the concert stage, Olga Peretyatko could be heard in Amsterdam, Zurich, Lucerne, Strasbourg, Brussels, Naples, Tallinn, and Singapore. She also gave several concerts of Carmina Burana together with the Tonkünsler Orchestra at the Musikverein Wien.

Peretyatko’s uniquely compelling voice and stage presence allow her to interpret a wide range of different roles from humorous to tragic. She has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, La Scala, Vienna State Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Teatro Real in Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Opéra Bastille in Paris, and many others, as well as prestigious festivals in Salzburg, Baden-Baden, Aix-en- Provence, and Pesaro.

Olga Peretyatko has collaborated with the world’s most renowned conductors and stage directors, including Robert Lepage, who’s acclaimed 2009 production of Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol in Toronto confirmed her status as one of the top sopranos of our time. She sang Marfa in Dmitri Tcherniakov’s provocative take on The Tsar’s Bride, which was presented in 2013/2014 first at Staatsoper Berlin and then at the Teatro alla Scala. In 2017 she sang Leïla, the main role in Wim Wender’s operatic debut in Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs des Perles, under musical direction of Daniel Barenboim.

Peretyatko’s recital schedule has included a performance under the Eiffel Tower for the Bastille Day celebrations in front of a live audience of 600,000 people and an international TV audience of several million viewers. In North America, she sang Strauss’ Four Last Songs at the Kennedy Center in Washington D. C. with the National Symphony Orchestra. The same repertoire was featured on a tour of China with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and Maestro Kent Nagano. In 2018, Olga Peretyatko gave a highly acclaimed first solo recital at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala.

Olga Peretyatko has released six critically acclaimed albums on Sony Classical and has received numerous prestigious awards, including OPUS Klassik (2018), ECHO Klassik (Best Solo Album, 2015), and Premio Franco Abbiati della Critica Musicale Italiana. In 2021, she released new solo album Songs for Maya, devoted to the birth of her first-born daughter. Produced by the legendary Russian label Melodiya, this album brings together 23 lullabies from different corners of the world, personally selected by Olga and sung in their original languages.

Olga Peretyatko was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. She began her musical journey studying choral conducting at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, where she earned her first diploma. This foundational experience shaped her understanding of vocal music and ensemble dynamics, becoming a crucial aspect of her artistic development.

She further honed her craft at the Hanns Eisler-Hochschule für Musik in Berlin, the opera studio at the Hamburg State Opera, and the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, establishing herself as one of the most sought-after sopranos of her generation.
